AMD DITCHING OLD RADEONS
AMD is ready to say goodbye to earlier AMD Radeon HD Video Cards such as the Radeon HD 2000, Radeon HD 3000 and Radeon HD 4000 Video Cards because they will be getting moved to Legacy Driver Support in May 2012. Starting with Catalyst 12.5 AMD will be moving the Radeon HD 2000, Radeon HD 3000 and Radeon HD 4000 series from the mainstream to legacy status. These Video Cards will be moving to quarterly driver updates.

INFORMATION ABOUT WHY ULTIMATE HARDWARE STARTED
We started thinking about making a website doing computer hardware reviews of processors, video cards and motherboards in 2002. We had no website building experience so we first did a basic html course to learn the basics and then we set out ideas for what we wanted. We did some basic reviews such as the Socket 7 Video Card Comparison, AMD K62 550Mhz vs AMD Duron 750Mhz and Wintune 1997 CPU and FPU Chart. These early reviews proved to be popular so we started thinking of ways to improve the Ultimate Hardware website. These improvements included learning some basic seo optimisation methods which might work with Ultimate Hardware. It's at this point that Ultimate Hardware starting taking off and the costs started mounting up. This is when my friend left working on Ultimate Hardware so it became just my hobby. To cut costs I decided it was time to think of something to reduce the bandwidth use which was costing more and more. Read on to find out what happened next in the 10 year story of Ultimate Hardware.

We've mentioned a lot about our thoughts on the HD 7700 series as a whole along with the general thought process on each model and like we've said every time, while AMD has the HD 6800 series at a similar price point, the HD 7700 series continues to lose its shine as it sits slower. The HD 7800 series and HD 7900 series on the other hand don't have any competition within their own camp giving us a price point from AMD that isn't offered at the moment. So far we've seen the HD 7850 hits that $249 price tag perfectly. Now we want to find out if the extra $100 associated with the HD 7870 is worth the jump up.

AMD has released the Second Series 7000 Video Card which is the AMD Radeon HD 7950. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses the Tahiti just like the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses Clock Speed of 800Mhz so with the Process Technology being 28nm should mean the AMD Radeon HD 7950 runs cool and power efficent. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has 1792 Stream Processors which is 13% less than the 2068 found on the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 uses 3GB GDDR5 just like the AMD Radeon HD 7970 so it's performance should be fairly close behind. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has 112 Texture Units compared to 128 with the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The AMD Radeon HD 7950 has a 89Gtexs Texture Fillrate compared to 118Gtexs on the AMD Radeon HD 7970. AMD A6 3650 CPU REVIEW
We are benchmarking the AMD A6 3650 processor against the AMD A8 3850 processor. The AMD A6 3650 is clocked at 2600Mhz and the AMD A8 3850 is clocked at 2900Mhz. We will be using Benchmarks for testing the AMD A6 3650 and AMD A8 3850 which are:- Divx, Povray, Sysmark 2007, Windows Media Encoder, Dragon Age Origins and World of Warcraft.
